Building Our Car Detailing Business from Scratch

It all started as a simple idea between three 16-year-olds who wanted to turn our summer boredom into something productive. We were sitting in the driveway one day, watching cars pass by, and it hit us—why not start a car detailing business? None of us had any experience running a business, but we knew we had determination, basic cleaning supplies, and a knack for hard work. After pooling together some money from odd jobs and allowances, we bought better cleaning products and tools. We spent hours learning techniques from YouTube videos and practicing on our parents' cars. Word started spreading when neighbours noticed how good their cars looked. Soon, we created a simple social media page to advertise, and people began messaging us for appointments. Balancing school, sports, and this new venture wasn’t easy, but the satisfaction of seeing a shiny, spotless car and hearing happy customers made it all worth it. Starting this business helped us learn teamwork, responsibility, and how to take an idea and turn it into something real—all while earning our own money. It’s been a challenging but rewarding journey, and we’re excited to keep growing from here.
